Poetry and reflections on emotional growth, endurance, and the journey toward wholeness, exploring the connection between our inner life and well-being.
Sometimes, love shows up not in grand gestures or dramatic moments— but in the quiet presence of a stranger doing their job with steady kindness.
We met as strangers In the soft rhythm of a grocery store— Shifting between veggie aisles, In and out of ordinary chores.
Ben places corn like prayer Inviting us to linger, To pause and gently ponder What love might look like
If it had hands
and purpose.
Ben wears a smile— An infectious expression, Effortlessly showing love. He warmly engages—
Words
firmly embracing us.
Ben has been through much. Life has carved stories into his skull, Yet he shows up— Holding goodness upon his lips While working the day-to-day shift.
Ben exemplifies love. It rests softly on the edges of his words. His kindness prompted my heart to write about a stranger who reminds me what love looks like.
BE LOVE
💡
The next time you're out and about —running errands, standing in line, or getting coffee—slow down enough to notice the Bens among us. The people who show up with kindness, who carry love in their small gestures. Acknowledge them. Honor them. Perhaps even write about them like I did.
A poem for restless nights, when thoughts won’t be still and lies feel louder than truth. A reminder that even in the storm of the mind, God’s love remains steady, and the soul He formed is never unloved.
A poem for restless nights (Whole in Him series)
It’s late again. Sleep is nowhere to be seen, your mind keeps moving, forgetting how to be still.
Somewhere between pillow thoughts and drawn shades, your headspace tries to defend itself against this:
Broken. Unwell. Unloved.
How cruel it feels when the very place meant to hold you steady keeps moving you toward lies that surge relentlessly, thrusting you into the eye of the storm.
Hear this gently.
I write for those who are weary, for the ones who feel their mind is in constant battle.
I write for those who struggle, for the ones who think their hearts are far from lovable.
Hear me softly.
You are not your thoughts. You are not the lies that tell you to be ashamed.
You are more than the storms in your mind. You are the soul God formed with His hands.
Your mind may face battles. Your heart may grow tired. But your life is inscribed in the palm of His hands.
The part of you God breathed into being will not drown in torrential lies.
The part of you He formed in love will not be lost in the raging storms.
You are deeply known. Never alone.
So rest. Let your mind be still. Be at peace. Anchor your heart in Him.
God’s love is not shaken by the storm. His presence is not troubled by the waves.
And the soul He called His own will never be unloved.
In His time, in His mercy, what He formed in love will gently become whole.
Encouragement — Never Unloved
There are nights when the mind refuses to be still.
Thoughts move in circles, sleep feels far away, and the heart grows tired from trying to quiet what will not settle. In those moments, lies can begin to sound convincing — whispering that something is wrong with you, that you are broken, unwell, or somehow less worthy of love.
Many people know this kind of battle. Not because they are weak, but because the mind can become overwhelmed when fear, pressure, or past wounds speak louder than truth.
When thoughts grow restless, the heart can begin to believe what is not true. But the storm in your mind does not define you.
You are the soul God formed with care. You are the life He holds in His hands. You are known, even when your thoughts feel scattered. You are loved, even when your heart feels tired.
God’s love does not rise and fall with your emotions. It does not disappear when your mind feels unsettled. His love remains steady. Even in the storm.
And in His time, in His mercy, the heart that feels restless now can learn to be still again.
